DHFL offers reverse mortgage scheme

Designed to benefit senior citizens

MUMBAI: Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited (DHFL) has launched a reverse mortgage scheme for senior citizens called `Saksham'. The scheme will be first launched in Mumbai and its adjoining areas before being rolled out nationally within a short period, a company release said here on Thursday.

Designed to provide and supplement senior citizens' monthly expenditure, Saksham is offered to retired people who own property and have been living in it for at least one year. DHFL's Head, Marketing, Shivkumar Mani, saidIt is a social security scheme designed to benefit senior citizens." — PTI
