CHENNAI:
These differently-abled children had reason to smile on Tuesday. The occasion was a function organised by the Murthuzaviya Educational and Cultural Foundation of South India to distribute uniforms and prizes to students of its educational institutions in the city.
K. Mohamed Meeran, Chairman and Managing Director, G.M. Pens International Pvt. Ltd., urged the students to improve their skill in English, mathematics, and accountancy.
The foundation, started in 1952, runs Murthuzaviya Oriental Higher Secondary School and a school for mentally challenged and the hearing impaired. S.K. Khadri, foundation president, announced that the construction of a charitable hospital was on at Kondungaiyur.
