One held on charge of forgery

KOCHI: The Kalamassery police on Thursday arrested one person on charges of forgery.

The accused Ahmed Fayaz, 19, son of Saidalavi, Al-Burqa House, Tirurangadi, forged his marklist to secure admission to the B.Tech. course at the Cochin University of Science and Technology.

The police said the accused corrected the marks for mathematics in the Plus Two examination. The forgery was detected during counselling. The accused was presented before court and remanded.
