Targeting a group

The article "Targeting a community for ethnic scrutiny," (Open Page, Sept. 10) is brilliant. I agree with the author that Indian Muslims are quite different from the Muslims of other countries with respect to culture, way of living and maintaining unity in diversity. Unfortunately, the communal agenda of some sections of the Muslim leadership and the Sangh Parivar has vitiated harmony. The need of the hour is a reciprocal process of developing trust.

Nalgonda, A.P.

By narrating his experience, Shah Alam Khan has vividly portrayed the plight of Indian Muslims. That Muslims can be subject to `random checking' in their own motherland by even mobile phone service providers is shocking.
