Grand Parents' Day celebrated

Staff Reporter

Some grand parents' who participated in the freedom struggle were also felicitated

HYDERABAD: It was an ideal Grand Parents' Day Out as many schools organised Grand Parents' Day last week and the senior citizens soaked in the warm celebrations.

The pre-primary section of Andhra Mahila Sabha P. Obul Reddy Public School, Jubilee Hills, had a special programme for grand parents. Kids dressed up as `grand parents' welcomed the elders and it was followed by a variety of cultural programmes.

But the interesting part of the day was when several games were organised and grand parents sportingly took part in them to win `Super Grand Parent' awards.

Dwaraka High School, Domalguda, held a joint celebration of centenary of Vandemataram and Grand Parents' Day.

Some grand parents who took part in the freedom struggle were felicitated by the school management.
