Baby in critical condition

HYDERABAD: A five-day old baby girl has been admitted in a critical condition to the Niloufer Hospital here on Monday after her five-year-old brother unknowingly fed her with glass pieces.

Niloufer Resident Medical Officer Laxman Rao said the baby, brought from Maheswaram, was currently under observation.

Fake certificate racket

City police on Monday busted a fake educational certificate racket with the arrest of three persons.

A team of Task Force led by Additional DCP K.V. Venkat Reddy picked up a person C. Vijay, 24, at Chandrayanagutta and seized a fake secondary school certificate.

Vijay admitted he was making fake certificates with the help of his accomplices, V. Dinakar Reddy, 29, and K. Raghu, 22, who were also nabbed subsequently.

Vijay's another associate Srinivas Reddy, 28, however, is still at large.
