Boy drowned in lake

HYDERABAD: A 13-year-old boy was drowned in a lake at Jeedimetla on Sunday.

The police said Sairam Yadav, a resident of Saibabanagar in Jeedimetla, went for a swim in a lake at Vishwakarma Nagar along with three friends, but the boy accidentally drowned. Sairam was class VIII student of a private school near his house, the police said.

In a separate incident, a motorcycle-borne miscreant snatched a gold chain from T. Padma Priya at S.R. Nagar on Sunday night.
