Man electrocuted

A 29-year-old man was electrocuted at his house at Poolbagh on Sunday morning. J. Ravikanth Reddy, a private employee, was doing some physical exercise on the terrace of the building when he accidentally came in contact with high tension wires and suffered serious burns. He was rushed to a corporate hospital in Secunderabad where he was declared brought dead, the police said.

Gold taken away

Thieves fled with the gold ornaments and cash from a house at Kavadiguda in Gandhi Nagar on Saturday midnight.

They entered the house of Madan Mohan by breaking open the main door lock and stole gold jewellery weighing 12 tolas and Rs.5,000. The theft took place when Mohan and his family were away from the house.

Man found killed

An unidentified person was found murdered at Botanical Garden in Madhapur on Sunday morning.

The man aged between 25 and 30 years of age was clad in blue jeans and yellow shirt. The police are suspecting that the man could have been murdered by some unidentified persons with a sharp-edged weapon elsewhere and later dumped the body in the garden.

The body has been preserved at Osmania General Hospital for identification and autopsy.

Woman succumbs

to injuries

A 50-year-woman who suffered severe injuries after a water tanker hit her at Musheerabad on Tuesday died while undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital on Sunday.

The police said the victim J. Shashi Rekha was a resident of Indiranagar.
