HYDERABAD: Miscreants struck at two computer shops in the Chenoy Trade Centre (CTC) at Park Lane in Secunderabad in the wee hours of Sunday and fled with Rs.3.65 lakhs in cash. However, the offenders could not enter another shop as a central locking system was fixed to it.

They first broke into Arun Computers by lifting its shutter and stole Rs.3.38 lakhs kept in the cash chest. However, five laptops and other computer peripherals were left intact.

They later entered another shop, Computer Creations, and decamped with Rs.27, 000.

Police suspect that at least four persons could have been involved in the offences.

The Clues team and fingerprint experts were pressed into service to collect evidence from the scene of the offence. Two security guards on duty were picked up for questioning, the police said.
