IN HIGH SPIRITS: Students perform at the freshers' welcome nite at the Indian Institute of Planning and Management earlier this week.
CHENNAI: The theme for the event was `Passion', and the spirit was prevalent throughout the evening, which started with a presentation on great personalities who dedicated their services to the country in their respective fields. The names in the list were disparate: Mahatma Gandhi, Sachin Tendulkar, N. R. Narayana Murthy, etc. Two skits, one on the passion for power and another on the passion for love and affection.
Entertainment
The foot tapping dance performance and live music made the audience cheer at the top of its voice. Entertainment must always be accompanied by a serious message. And this event was no exception. Miming on passion for society and the nation, `Aagaman - Ushering of New Spirits', held earlier this week, was the freshers' welcome nite organised by The Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM). At Aagaman, the students got the atmosphere to crack the cocoon around them and enter the dynamic corporate world. The freshers' party is a time when the new bunch of students unveil their hidden talents, create a rapport with their seniors, and have fun doing it.
