NEW DELHI:
Rich tributes were paid to the former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, on her 89th birth anniversary on Sunday.
Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh paid floral tributes at the portrait of Indira Gandhi in the Central Hall of Parliament.
United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Petroleum Minister Murli Deora, Defence Minister A.K. Antony, Sis Ram Ola, Suresh Pachauri, P.K. Bansal, Meira Kumar, Rahul Gandhi, M.S. Gill, V. Narayanasamy, R.K. Dhawan, Ahmed Patel, Nirmala Deshpande and other Members of Parliament were present.
