Letters to the Editor
This refers to the Centre's decision to introduce the Women's Reservation Bill in the current session of Parliament. The introduction of the Bill will be a step forward in reaching the ultimate goal of providing women what they deserve. I hope it is passed. It will certainly have a healthy impact on Indian politics.
V. Ilancheliyan,
* * * The brilliant cartoon (Nov. 23) reflects the fate the Women's Bill is likely to meet. Unless male chauvinism, which has no place in parliamentary democracy, is countered with courage and determination, the bill will be stonewalled.
