Women's team meets Lalu

NEW DELHI: A joint delegation of women's organisations, led by Rajya Sabha MP Brinda Karat, on Thursday met Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad to press for the tabling of the Women's Reservation Bill during the ongoing session of Parliament.

Though the Minister gave a patient hearing he failed to give any concrete assurance about the introduction or the passage of the Bill, a joint statement issued by the organisations said.
