Dubai : Team India has a lot of catching up to do in the one-dayers if it wants to go into the World Cup with an improved status in the ICC ranking charts. Figure this out Mahendra Singh Dhoni is India's lone batsman in the top 10 of the ODI rankings at fifth place while Yuvraj Singh and Rahul Dravid occupy distant 14th and 15th places respectively. No Indian bowler finds himself in the top-10 list with the first Indian name Harbhajan Singh tucked deep on 14th spot. Paceman Irfan Pathan's lack of form is reflected in the rankings as he is further three places down. The poor performance in the shorter version against South Africa finds India languishing at the sixth spot behind Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. With 106 points in its kitty, India is ahead of the West Indies by just two points. India will play four home ODIs against the West Indies and Sri Lanka before the World Cup and will have to show massive improvement to carry forward some winning momentum before the quadrennial extravaganza.
