Indian team to be picked today

Rajkot: The national selectors will meet here on Friday to select the Indian team for the first two matches of the four-match series against the West Indies. The India-West Indies series will be played at Nagpur (Jan. 21), Cuttack (Jan. 24), Chennai (Jan. 27) and Baroda (Jan. 31).

The selectors will also name the 30 probables for the ICC World Cup to be played at the West Indies in March-April. India coach Greg Chappell and chairman of selectors Dilip Vengsarkar and his colleagues in the selection committee are due to arrive here on Friday morning from Mumbai. — Special Correspondent
