LeT militant arrested in Kashmir

SRINAGAR : A Lashker-e-Toiba militant was arrested by BSF troops in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, a police spokesman said on Thursday. Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Naina village, was apprehended at Pulwama town by the troops of 71st battalion of BSF, he said. A hand grenade was recovered from his possession, the spokesman said adding he was being questioned.

Meanwhile, a Pakistani infiltrator was killed near the Indo-Pak border in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The infiltrator, who was entering Indian territory was challenged. He, however, tried to run away resulting in firing by troops in which he was killed. - PTI
