NEW DELHI:
Union Home Secretary V.K. Duggal will leave for Male on Monday on a two-day official visit, heading a four-member team, which includes the Director-General of the Narcotics Control Bureau.
During his talks with his Maldives counterpart, Mr. Duggal will discuss measures to increase co-operation in tackling terrorism, organised crimes and smuggling in narcotics. Mr. Duggal will also call on some senior political leaders of Maldives. He will also extend an invitation for the SAARC Home Ministers' meeting, scheduled to take place in India later this year, to the Maldives Home Minister, Home Secretary and DGP.
