VISAKHAPATNAM : Tributes were paid to former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao on his death anniversary here on Thursday.

Prominent among those who garlanded NTR statue at R.K. Beach Junction were former MPs M.V.V.S. Murthy, Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, former MLAs S.A. Rahman and Pinninti Varalakshmi and also veteran journalist Kuldip Nayyar who is on a visit to the city.

TDP urban district president C.M.A. Zaheer Ahmed urged party workers to work towards fulfilling the dreams of the founder of the party. Mr. Murthy, Dr. Rahman, and others recalled the services of NTR to the State.

The NTR statue at Srinagar vegetable market was also garlanded by Dr. Ahmed, former MLA Palla Simhachalam, and State publicity secretary of the party Majji Sundaram Patrudu.
