Rangoli contest

Association for Integrated Multi-Services, in coordination with Krishna District Youth Welfare Department, organised a rangoli competition at Royal Public School near Swathi theatre to mark Republic Day on Friday.

District Youth Welfare Office superintendent K. Siva Prasad and director of the school T. Lakshmisangaiah and others were present.

Awareness drive for truck drivers

Indian Oil Corporation Limited on Friday organised a Truck Sammelan at the IOC petrol bunk operated by Krishna District Lorry Owners' Association at Gollapudi. It was part of the fortnight programme conducted by the oil corporation to create awareness among truck owners and drivers on oil conservation.

Hindu Sammelan conducted

Singing of Hindu hymns, cultural programmes and speeches by swamijis exhorting Hindus to revisit their age-old traditions marked the Virat Hindu Sammelan organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) here on Friday as part of the birth anniversary of Guruji, the second sarsanghchalak of the organisation.
