Shimla lashed by heavy snow

SHIMLA:
Shimla witnessed heavy snowfall for the third consecutive day on Tuesday with the mercury staying below freezing point.
About 7 cm of snow had been recorded in the hill station during the past 24 hours and there seemed no early end to the spell yet.
Since Sunday, the Himachal capital has recorded 96.2 cm of snowfall, Meteorological Office Director said. The neighbouring tourist resort of Kufri and Manali also had fresh snowfall on Tuesday.
Nearly 80 tourists from Delhi are stranded in a resort at Tusoli near Kufri since Monday following road blockage due to heavy snow. The tourists, comprising about a dozen families, had come to the resort to enjoy the snowfall. - PTI.
