11 injured in gas cylinder explosion

HYDERABAD: Eleven persons, including six women, suffered injuries when a gas cylinder exploded in a house at Moosapet on Sunday. The blast rocked the house of vegetable vendor R. Bhaskar Rao when a member of his family tried to light the gas stove. Three neighbouring houses were completely damaged.

Condition of Rao's wife Lavanya and her mother Rajamma, admitted to Gandhi Hospital, was said to be serious. Kukatpally SI A. Sanjeeva Rao said the blast occurred due to gas leakage.
