Three held for youth's murder

CHENNAI : Police on Friday arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a youth last week.

According to a press release, the 17-year-old youth, Sathish of Gajalakshmi Colony, Aminjikarai, was found dead in a playground last week. Sathish was working in a private bank.

Aminjikarai police, who investigated the case, said that the victim's friends, Loganathan, Arumugam alias Chinna Arumugam and Arumugam alias Peria Arumugam had committed the crime.

Based on their confession, a case was registered and they were produced before a court in Egmore, which remanded them to judicial custody, the release said.
