BSNL call centre opened

A BSNL call centre `Swagatham' was inaugurated on Monday at Trimulgherry to provide a wide range of services to its customers.

Customers can get in touch with the call centre by a toll-free number 1500 round the clock across the State. The call centre can also be accessed through e-mail swagatham@bsnl.co.in, according to a press release.

Press Club elects

new body

R. Sailesh Reddy and K. V. S. Madhav were elected president and secretary respectively of the Press Club of Hyderabad for 2007-09 in the elections held here on Sunday. The other office-bearers are -- V. J. M. Divakar (vice-president), K. L. Kumara Swamy (joint secretary), V. Narender Reddy (treasurer), R. Ravikanth Reddy, Ch. Jaganmohan Rao, P. Anil Kumar, E. Janardhan Reddy, M. Laxmaiah and D. Srinivas Reddy (executive committee members).

Meet on March 28

A. B. K. Prasad, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Official Language Commission, will participate in a two-day conference organised by the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore, on March 28 and 29 to discuss the issue of according classical language status to Telugu.

Bank branch shifted

The Central Bank of India's Khairatabad branch has been shifted to a new premise near Shadan College, which has modern facilities.

K. S. Somayajulu, DGM, Hyderabad zone, inaugurated the office with online banking and ATM facilities.
