MADURAI: Maduraites were "treated to a feast of computer gadgets" at a two-day exposition, `Computer Expo - 2007,' organised here on Saturday and Sunday by the Computers and Media Society for the 16th consecutive year. High-end personal computers, such as those with sleek TFT monitors, Central Processing Units not larger than the size of a stabilizer were on display. Of particular interest to customers was `Crystral Brite Technology,' says a dealer. It solves an age-old irritant of not able to view TFT monitors in side angles. Systems fitted with DVD writers, 160 GB hard discs, 1 GB DDR2 memory processors were also displayed. Products from more than 25 leading computer brands adorned the stalls. "The customers' choice of products has undergone a sea change," says secretary of the association A. Muthuswamy. Earlier, projectors were bought only by business concerns, while at present it has begun replacing home theatres. "People want to constantly upgrade their systems and are looking only for the best and latest in the market," the president of the association, S.V. Sellva Sekaran, says.
