MADURAI: The State Bank of India was working towards improving the ambience levels in all its 600-odd branches in Tamil Nadu, said its General Manager, Anoop K. Prabhakar. He was speaking to journalists after inaugurating an air-conditioned branch at Lady Doak College here on Tuesday.

Mr. Prabhakar said that nearly 200 branches in the State, including the one at the college, had already been provided with such facilities. "These amenities will help the customers feel comfortable," he said.
