HYDERABAD: A software engineer committed suicide at his house at PVN Colony in Malkajgiri on Friday night after he was allegedly humiliated by his colleagues. Pavan Kumar (25), who was working in a software firm at Hi-tec City, told his relatives that he was in severe depression after his colleagues, including the team leader, humiliated him during a conference held recently, the police said.
He did not go to the office for two days prior to taking the extreme step. Though members of his family tried to counsel him, Pavan could not come out of the trauma and ended his life. "We are trying to collect details about Pavan's colleagues with the help of his parents," Malkajgiri Assistant Sub-Inspector S. Butchaiah said.
Hangs self to death
In another case, a call centre employee G. Venu Gopal hanged himself to death at his house at Bapunagar in Sanjeevareddy Nagar on Saturday midnight. A suicide note purportedly written by Venu (23) was recovered from his room in which he stated that he was committing suicide due to personal problems. Venu, a native of Ongole in Prakasam district, was working in a multi-national company at Hi-tec City.
