Karunanidhi showers praise on Minister

Chennai: The golden jubilee celebration of the TNEB saw Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi showering praise on Electricity Minister Arcot N. Veerasamy.

Mr. Karunanidhi pointed out that he knew Mr. Veerasamy’s long association with the Board.

He recalled that during K. Kamaraj’s tenure as Chief Minister, Mr Veerasamy’s inputs had helped him (Mr. Karunanidhi) to level charges against the then establishment in the Board.

Realising the strength of his arguments, Kamaraj had constituted an inquiry panel against the officials concerned.
