Water level

MADURAI: The water level in the Periyar dam stood at 131.70 feet (136 feet) with an inflow of 2,221 cusecs and a discharge of 1,687 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 44.03 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 1,137 cusecs and a discharge of 41 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood 6,016 mcft.

Periyar dam recorded 51 mm of rainfall followed by Tekkadi 19, Marudhanadi 8 and Gudalur 6 mm.
