Quarterfinalists spotted

BELLARY: Laxman Joshi, Jay Dalal, Anup Sharma and Nitin Chauhan in the under-19 category cruised into the quarterfinals of the JSW Karnataka Open squash championship at the Vidyanagar Sports Club, Toranagal, Bellary district.

The results: Pre-quarterfinals: Boys: U-19: Jay Dalal bt Parth Jindal 9-3, 9-3; Laxman Joshi bt Ashish Agarwal 9-1, 9-6; Anup Sharma bt Javed Mohammed 6-9, 9-4, 9-2; Nitin Chauhan bt Girish Sawlani 10-8, 9-6.

Girls: U-15: Saumya Karki bt Varsha Pandey 9-0, 9-0; Shriya Khatri bt Urvashi Joshi 9-1, 9-2.
