Over 500 students from more than 25 colleges participated in `’Yuva Sangamam’

PUDUKOTTAI: The JCI Pudukottai Sangamam conducted various cultural competitions for college students in connection with the 60th Independence Day celebrations here on Sunday.
Over 500 students from more than 25 colleges in the district participated in the event titled ‘Yuva Sangamam’.
The students competed in dance, poetry, essay writing, painting, elocution and singing events.
The actor, Sreeman, was the chief guest for the valedictory function and gave away the prizes in the presence of the president of the JCI Pudukottai Sangamam, T. Ravichandran.
The winners are _ Dance: Bharathi Arts and Science College; Poetry: S. Kudiyarasu (Sudarsan Polytechnic College); Elocution: R. Karthika (Mount Zion Engineering College); Singing: Vinoth (Venkateshwara Polytechnic College).
