Murder case resolved

JOLARPET: The Tirupattur sub-division police have finally arrested four persons for murder of their friend at Edaiyampatti in Jolarpet. They were remanded to judicial custody on Sunday.

The accused — Vetrivel, Chiranjeevi, Saravanan and Jothilangam — had murdered Nagarajan (21) during a heated debate on October 10, 2006. The police had no clues about the accused for the first few months.

The Tirupattur sub-division Assistant Superintendent of Police Asra Garg told The Hindu that a special team was formed to nab the culprits.
