Crackers seized

SIVAKASI: Revenue officials, on Monday, seized two van loads of crackers here.

The Sivakasi Revenue Divisional Officer, B. Ganesan, said that he formed four special squads to keep a vigil on illegal cracker units and offices of transport agents through which the fireworks were transported to various places. “Since these goods are moved only during late evening, our officials kept watch on some of the cargo vehicles and seized the two vans at Viswanatham.”
