Air India awards: last date extended

CHENNAI: Air India has extended the last date to August 31 for students and teachers in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to apply for the RANK and BOLT awards.

The Race for Awareness and Knowledge (RANK) award for students and the Broad Outlook Learner Teacher (BOLT) award for teachers are meant to promote active citizenship, environmental conservation and innovation in teaching.

The first prize winners at the State and national levels will be taken on an all-expenses paid trip to Singapore.

Visits will be arranged to places of interest, including Sentosa’s ‘Underwater World’ and ‘Dolphin Show’ and the University of Singapore. One student and teacher are chosen as the winners at the district level. The district winner with the highest aggregate is recognised as the State winner. Students from Standard VIII to Ph.D. and school/college teachers are eligible.

Bid forms

Subroto Ghosal, project coordinator, RANK and BOLT, said students and teachers could submit bid forms (in English or in a regional language), available on www.airindia.in.

The completed bid forms and bio-data must be sent by Speed Post to the Project Director, ROP Cell, 4th floor, East Wing, Finance Building, Air India Limited, Kalina, Mumbai-400029.
