Chief Minister shows the way
Staff Correspondent
BANTWAL: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy made his displeasure known when the master ceremonies committed a faux pas while rending the “Nadageethe” at a public function on the premises of newly opened KSRTC bus station on B.C. Road here on Monday. Deputy Chief Minister and other elected representatives were present.
The function began with a mellifluous rendition of Vande Mataram by students of Government School.
The entire audience stood up in reverence to the song. This was followed by the Nadageethe.
However, inexplicably, the master of ceremonies announced that the people could sit while students rendered the Nadageethe.
A visibly upset Chief Minister shook his head in disapproval prompting the audience and those on the dais, who were on the verge of settling down, to stand up.
