Sangareddy: Medak district which has set a target of 42,000 houses under the Indiramma housing scheme is gearing up to complete construction by October just in time for the “Indiramma Gruhpravesalu” programme under the three phase Indiramma Sambaralu beginning from Saturday.
So far construction of 22,000 houses has been completed and another 20,000 houses are under different stages of construction in the district. On the other hand those who applied for dwellings under Rajiv Grihakalpa which stands cancelled now would be offered individual houses to be constructed in the same land. Speaking to The Hindu the district Collector B. Venkatesm said that t the gruhapravesam programmes will be held from October 2 to 21.
He warned the activists of Left parties that action would be initiated if anyone encroaches government land.
