ATF’s plea to ATP

Special Correspondent

MUMBAI: The Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) is determined about creating opportunities for players from the continent to make a living out of the game. The federation, comprising 44 national affiliate associations has approached the Association of Tennis Federation (ATP) with proposals aimed at improving the presence of Asian players in ATP events organised in this part of the world.

According to ATF President, Anil Khanna, in the absence of response from the ATP to the formal proposals, Asian national associations under the ATF banner will form its own circuit, comprising players competing for ATF points.
