Kanipakam gears up for Brahmothsavams

CHITTOOR: District Collector SS Rawat called upon the officials of various departments to coordinate with one another for the smooth conduct of the Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy Brahmothsavams at Kanipakam in Irala mandal, 15 km from here. A coordination meeting of the officers was held here on Monday to discuss about the arrangements to be made for Brahmothsavams.

Addressing the meeting, the Collector said, that Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy Brahmothsavams would be held from September15 to October 5. He wanted additional police force to be deployed at Kanipakam to maintain law and order besides keeping a watch on the jewels of the temple. Engineers were instructed to repair roads leading to the temple and the electricity department officials were asks to ensure uninterrupted power supply on all these days. He also directed the officials to install a generator as a standby to be used in case of emergency.
