In hope: Anil Kumar awaits aid for education in Mahadevpur mandal.
MAHADEVPUR (KARIMNAGAR DT): In spite of the naxalite presence, he has dared all obstacles and successfully cleared the PRITACET (Post Graduation Residential IT Academy Common Examination Test) and secured 408 rank, but poverty has forced him to discontinue his education and search for employment.
B.Anil Kumar of Mahadevpur mandal headquarters neighbouring Chattisgarh state lost his father when he was in class V. His mother, an agricultural labourer, and elder brother who works for a small shop, braving all odds, educated him by joining him in Government school and colleges.
His teachers encouraged him to write the PRITACET for PG diploma in IT.
Anil and his family are unable to pay the minimum fee of Rs. 16,000 for four months course and secure bank loan of Rs 1.3 lakh for continuation of the course.
Though he recieved invitation to attend counselling for admission at JNTU, Hyderabad slated for September 7, he is not in a financial position to make it. Presently Anil is searching for employment through Rajiv Udyogasri and other firms to eke out his livelihood, as his family is in a hand-to-mouth situation.
Talking to The Hindu he says, “I do not have even Rs. 1,000 to attend counselling and pay the registration fee. I have zeal and enthusiasm to study hard and secure a job to help my family, but now my hopes have been shattered&
