Kaushik triumphs

MANGALORE: Kaushik R. of Canara College (Mangalore) has claimed the title in the first Blitz Chess Festival organised at Tagore Park, Lighthouse Hill here on Sunday. He beat Ganesh Kumar of Ramakrishna College in the final round to win the honour. Ganesh Kumar finished runner up. Suraj Prabhu and Kiran A., both from Canara Boys High School shared the third place.

Krupa Jain of SVS (Bantwal) won the Best Girl prize. Chisel Pais, Ladyhill English Medium School was placed second.

Balakrishna, RTO Officer, Chitradurga inaugurated the event. Ganesh Rao, Chairman, Karavali Group of Colleges distributed prizes to the winners.
