Kamson stars in Ajmal Club’s win; Nivia draws with Delhi Cantonment
NEW DELHI: Kamson’s goal in the injury time helped Ajmal Football Club beat State Bank of India 1-0 in the Delhi Soccer Association annual ‘A’ division open clubs league championship at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Monday.
Earlier, Nivia Club drew 2-2 with Delhi Cantonment. Manpreet Singh twice put Cantonment ahead but Raghav Khurana and Gagan restored parity for Nivia.
Former champion Moonlight Club blew away a 2-0 lead to be held 2-2 by Uttrakhand. Sanjay Negi and Brij Mohan scored for Moonlight. Uttrakhand hit back through Dinesh Bisht.
Royal Club received a walkover from Glorious Club at the Nehru Stadium ground. League sub-committee has decided to scratch Glorious Club from the tournament.
