Centre’s advisory to States

NEW DELHI: The Central Government has issued an advisory to all States, asking them to sensitise their police forces on the need to remain extra vigilant during Janmashtami on Tuesday and the Ganesh Chaturthi festival in mid-September. As these festivals are celebrated with great religious fervour and draw huge participation of people, the Centre has advised them to be extra careful while providing security during religious congregations. – Special Correspondent
