Pay Airtel bill through SMS

BANGALORE: Airtel on Thursday announced the launch of mChek payment of post-paid mobile phone bills through SMS for those customers who have a Visa credit card.

Announcing the launch here, Airtel Karnataka CEO V. Venkatesh said the facility enabled the customer in Karnataka to pay not only his or her mobile bill, but also others’ bills if they wish so. The facility was on pilot project in Delhi and was being launched in a full scale from Karnataka, he said. To register for the service, the customer could either send an SMS or visit www.mChek.com.

For registering through SMS, the customer had to send MCHEK to 121.
