Syndicate forms four panels on AAA report

Bangalore: The Bangalore University Syndicate announced the formation of four Syndicate sub-committees to oversee the implementation of the AAA (Academic and Administrative Audit) Committee report.

Vice-Chancellor H.A. Ranganath told presspersons on Thursday that most of the discussions of the 65th Syndicate meeting centred around the implementation of the AAA committee report. “It is for the first time that any committee has submitted a detailed report. The entire Syndicate voluntarily agreed to monitor the implementation of the recommendations,” he said.

The four sub-committees will look into all the requirements of the various departments, support systems including hostels and hospitals, safety measures required for degree certificates and marks cards and finances respectively.

“The members of the AAA committee have been invited to come back after six months and review the implementation of their recommendations.”

The AAA committee was headed by the former Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences S. Chandrashekhar Shetty. The other members were the former Vice-Chancellor of University of Madras S.P. Thyagarajan, Vice-Chancellor of National Law School of India University A. Jayagovind, the former Vice-Chancellor of University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, S. Bisalaiah and retired Kannada professor Kamala Hampana.
