Contractors’ plea

Thiruvananthapuram: The Government Contractors Association has asked the Government to take immediate steps to make sand required for construction purposes available in the State. Association president T. Saratchandra Prasad and general secretary P. Mohan Kumar said in a statement here on Friday that the State was facing an acute shortage of sand. They charged the Government with showing criminal negligence in tackling the issue. — Special Correspondent
