Nod for Utsav 2007

Thiruvananthapuram: The Government has accorded clearance for a year-long programme called Utsav 2007 to give a new lease of life to dying traditional art forms and introduce them to the younger generation. The programme will be implemented by the District Tourism Promotion Councils with the cooperation of the local bodies, voluntary organisations and tourism and youth clubs. As many as 1,080 programmes involving traditional art forms will be presented on 36 stages across the State during the period. The programmes will include lectures by experts.— Special Correspondent
