UDF to finalise stir plan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The UDF High Power Committee will meet on September 19 to finalise the coalition’s stir plan seeking Forest Minister Benoy Viswom’s resignation. UDF convener P.P. Thankachan, who announced this here, criticised the State Government’s action of arresting Youth Congress workers on murder charges. He said the Youth Congress workers were booked for murder under non-bailable sections.

This was yet another instance of the Left Democratic Front Government’s scant regard for democratic norms.
