Sanskrit Day celebrated at Madras University

Chennai: Sanskrit Day was celebrated by the Department of Sanskrit of Madras University along with all the University affiliated colleges on its Marina campus on Saturday. Registrar-in-charge Ranganatham presided over the function. M.O.P. Vaishnav College Principal Nirmala Prasad participated. Inter-collegiate competitions, including singing, dancing and ‘sloka’ recital were conducted.

Nearly 16 colleges participated in the competitions, a press release said.
