Sankara Nethralaya booth opened

CHENNAI: Minister of State for Railways R. Velu on Tuesday inaugurated the renovated Sankara Nethralaya information booth at Central Railway Station.

The booth will educate the community on common eye diseases. Preliminary vision screening will be done by a health work. It will also play an important role in promotion of preventive ophthalmic care, highlighting the consequences of eye diseases, says a Sankara Nethralaya press release. G. Suganeswari, ophthalmologist, Sankara Nethralaya, participated in the programme.
