A.P. stall inaugurated at international travel mart

HYDERABAD: Tourism Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated the Andhra Pradesh stall at Pacific Asia Travel Mart – 2007 at Bali in Indonesia. The event was put together by Pacific Asia Travellers Association (PATA).
Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yodoyono visited the stall and expressed happiness at the way the State had showcased its culture. He said Indonesia shared several similarities with India in tourism and culture.
Delegates invited
Mr. Reddy went around other stalls put in place by other Indian States, including Sikkim, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, as also those of countries like Egypt, Australia, China and other Asia Pacific nations. He invited the delegates at PATA-2007 to the State when Hyderabad will host PATA – 2008.
Officials who accompanied Mr. Reddy included T.K. Dewan, Chairman, APTDC, G. Sudhir, Principal Secretary, Tourism, K.V. Reddy, Director, Tourism and R. Kavitha Prasad, Director, Culture.
