HYDERABAD: The technical experts’ committee which probed the recent Punjagutta flyover collapse and also the studied the quality of construction, is expected to submit its report on Thursday to the Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration Department S.P. Singh.
The five-member panel, headed by the R&B Chief Engineer K. Siva Reddy and having members drawn from Osmania University, JNTU, IIT (Chennai) and the National Academy of Construction, was originally scheduled to complete the work last week itself. It received representations from GHMC engineers supervising the project, HMWSSB officials who had allowed digging of trenches to lay water pipelines near the flyover site and the project consultant. Mr. Singh is currently officiating as the GHMC Special Officer as C.V.S.K. Sarma has gone abroad.
